Update On How Close Edge Is To Signing With AEW

Latest on Edge to AEW

Edge's WWE contract is only days away from expiring and the 49-year-old may well be AEW-bound.

Better Wrestling Experience has reported that Edge is "apparently" closer than ever to joining All Elite Wrestling.

"Edge is closer to AEW more than ever apparently. Mind blown on how this business have changed yet so similar to WCW/WWF. The E are playing the right cards right now. Unless something big pops in AEW books in the future. I really doubt E come back with a big money move for Edge. Doubt it. If i get updates on it I will let you know," Better Wrestling Experience tweeted.

Edge's deal with WWE is set to expire at the end of September and the latest reports indicated the two parties were far apart on money. AEW are believed to be interested in Edge and the 11-time world champion knows how much AEW would offer him as part of a deal.

Edge's best friend, Christian Cage, is a featured performer on AEW TV and he is the reigning TNT Champion. Edge had the final match of his current WWE contract in his hometown of Toronto on the August 18 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Edge defeated Sheamus at the event.
