Update On If Roman Reigns Vs. John Cena Is Happening At WWE Crown Jewel

Could we see Roman Reigns vs. John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel?

Roman Reigns will be returning to WWE TV soon, with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion expected to make his way back to Friday Night SmackDown during the build to Crown Jewel. WWE are slated to return to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, November 4 and a Roman Reigns title defence is planned for the show.

Speculation has suggested this week that John Cena could be Reigns' opponent at Crown Jewel, especially since Cena is scheduled to team with LA Knight against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at Fastlane on October 7. The Bloodline have also referred to Cena as the second-greatest wrestler of all-time on WWE TV in what some assumed was a tease for Crown Jewel.

As of this week, though, Roman Reigns vs. John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is not planned for Crown Jewel, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The two talents last faced off in singles action at SummerSlam 2021 and they were involved in a tag team match together in December 2022.

Other names mentioned in speculation for who could face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel are LA Knight and AJ Styles.
