John Cena is currently away from WWE TV, having returned to Hollywood following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

The 16-time world champion may be involved at WrestleMania 40, however, and Aaron Varble of SE Scoops has reported that Cena is going to try and "make it in" for WWE's biggest show of the year.

"I've been told that John Cena is 'trying to make it in' for WrestleMania 'to do something,'" Varble tweeted.

Cena was involved at last year's WrestleMania, unsuccessfully challenging Austin Theory for the United States Championship. The 46-year-old then had a full-time run in WWE from September to November 2023, exiting the company once again following a loss to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel.

Cena found himself at the centre of a backlash this week following his comments about the sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse allegations against Vince McMahon. Cena did not show any empathy towards the alleged victims and largely talked about how much he loves Vince McMahon.

WrestleMania 40 will emanate from Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and April 7. The currently-scheduled main event is Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
