WWE WrestleMania 42 was officially scheduled to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 11 and April 12, 2026 but those plans have been changed.

The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation has told Wrestlenomics that WrestleMania 42 will no longer be taking place in New Orleans. The city will instead host WWE Money in the Bank 2026 and a future WrestleMania.

"The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year," the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation said in a statement.

WWE representatives confirmed to Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp that New Orleans would no longer host WrestleMania 42.

It appears WWE will be heading back to Las Vegas for next year's WrestleMania after moving away from New Orleans. A report from NOLA.com claimed an industry official has told them TKO leadership decided "they would rather hold next year's event in Las Vegas and see what response they get from fans."

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has also reported that the word locally in Las Vegas is a deal for Sin City to host WrestleMania 42 on April 18 and April 19, 2026 is in the process of being finalised. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Las Vegas is now the plan for WrestleMania 42.

This would mean WrestleMania will take place in Las Vegas for the second year in a row following WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and April 20, 2025.
