Update On Luchasaurus/Killswitch Following Battle With Pneumonia

Killswitch - FKA Luchasaurus - has been improving since his recent battle with pneumonia.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Luchasaurus was supposed to be back in the gym on Monday and the 39-year-old, real name Austin Matelson, is continuing to get better.

Killswitch was hospitalised after collapsing at home on September 27. He was then rushed to hospital and diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. The former AEW TNT Champion was said to only be days away from suffering permanent lung damage.

How long Killswitch will be out of action is unknown. The former Luchasaurus has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since 2019, initially as part of Jurassic Express with Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt.

Killswitch would eventually turn on Jack Perry and align fully with Christian Cage and he is now a part of The Patriarchy with Christian, Nick Wayne, and Mother Wayne.

In addition to his TNT Title reign, Killswitch is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion with Jack Perry and a former AEW World Trios Champion with Christian Cage and Nick Wayne.
