Update On Matt Riddle After Missing WWE Raw

Matt Riddle will be back on WWE TV very soon, according to the latest reports

Matt Riddle won't be off WWE TV for very long.

The former United States Champion was absent from the September 11 edition of Monday Night Raw in Norfolk, Virginia, reportedly due to illness. Riddle was said to be suffering from a double ear infection and bronchitis and he is not expected to be in action at this weekend's WWE house shows.

Riddle is currently scheduled to be back on the road with WWE for the September 18 edition of Monday Night Raw, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. How WWE plans to utilise Riddle on the show is unknown at the moment. He has been in a tag team with Drew McIntyre in recent weeks.

Riddle recently found himself at the centre of controversy once again after he accused a New York City airport policeman of sexual assault. The allegation is under investigation at the Port Authority department and was made by Riddle after officers were called to JFK International Airport due to a disorderly person who was deplaning. Riddle and other witnesses were spoken to and were free to go without incident. Riddle reportedly appeared apologetic at the time.

Riddle has only been back on WWE TV since April, having been away from the company since late 2022 after a stint in rehab that was sponsored by WWE.
