Multiple Returns Take Place At IMPACT 1000
IMPACT 1000 saw a host of returns take place
The first night of IMPACT’s 1000 episode celebration hit the air on September 14, and on a night of celebration that saw titles change hands, we were also treated to a number of returns.
Whilst IMPACT 1000 saw a host of names from IMPACT/TNA’s past drop in, IMPACT got a boon from two returns to the storied Knockouts division.
Gail Kim and Awesome Kong were pre-announced for the show, with the two IMPACT Hall of Famers gathering together a team to wrestle at the tapings. Kim and Kong were joined by Jordynne Grace and Trinity to face off with Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans, Deonna Purrazzo, and Angelina Love when Tasha Steelz made her return to join up with the Shawntourage, Purrazzo, and Love.
Steelz’ appearance was her first in an IMPACT ring since April, but her moment was cut short when Mickie James returned to even the odds, joining Kim and Kong’s team. James has also been out of action, having relinquished the Knockouts World Championship ahead of IMPACT Rebellion in February due to multiple injuries.
The two teams will clash during IMPACT 1000 pt. II on September 21.
