Update On Mercedes Mone's Injury & Return To The Ring

Mercedes Mone is getting back into ring shape

Mercedes Mone has been out of action ever since her clash with Willow Nightingale back at NJPW STRONG Resurgence in May 2023, in a match to crown the first ever NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. It has been a long road for Mone, with her only notable professional wrestling related appearance ever since coming at AEW All In 2023, where she was shown in the Wembley crowd.

Fans can now start thinking about her return, as Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that Mone has started training for her eventual return to the ring following her injury. Her next steps are still rather unclear though, with Bushiroad’s planned Guilia vs. Mone match no longer boldly pencilled in to be happening, though it is noted that there is still some interest in trying to make it happen if both are available when the time presents itself.

It will all come down to whether the two women end up, with WWE, AEW, and Bushiroad all being potential destinations.
