Update On Saturday's Double Taping Of WWE SmackDown (No Spoilers)

A small preview into the week of tapings ahead...

As part of a highly-compressed TV taping schedule at the Performance Center in Orlando, WWE taped two episodes of SmackDown on Saturday. The episodes are scheduled to run on March 27 and April 3, building into the two-night WrestleMania.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported on the nature of tapings, and has indicated that the multi-episode shoot was a rather lengthy one.

Said Johnson, "I am told it was an extremely long day that started early this morning and ran pretty much all day and well into the evening. Everyone is working as hard as they can to get everything done so that the company is "protected" in terms of content over the next several weeks so that no matter what, they are guaranteed to present new, original content in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak."

According to the provided taping schedule, WWE is filming NXT-related material at the Performance Center on Sunday. Upcoming Raw episodes will be filmed on Monday and Tuesday, while WrestleMania 36 is being taped over two days on Wednesday and Thursday.
