Earlier this week, it was revealed that on an episode of WWE NXT, TNA wrestler Elijah (formerly known as Elias and Ezekiel) had picked up an injury. Teaming with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura to take on AJ Francis, Wes Lee and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Trick Williams, Elijah seemingly injured his arm when performing his rope walk spot, and refrained from using his left arm throughout the rest of the contest. An unfortunate update has been given regarding Elijah’s status.

According to Fightful Select, Elijah has suffered from a triceps tear, and has already undergone a successful surgery in order to repair the injury, though no timeframe has been given on how long to expect him to be out of action. It is noted that the injury occurred when Elijah came off the top rope to hit a double knee move, sustaining the tear as he broke his fall with his arms.

The man himself has yet to comment on the injury and its severity. It will likely mean that Elijah misses TNA’s upcoming Slammiversary event. TNA announced the main event for the show, which will pit Trick Williams against Joe Hendry for TNA’s top prize.
