William Regal made his return to WWE TV on the March 10 episode of NXT as he and Fit Finlay appeared on the entrance stage during the tag team match pitting Birth Right's Lexis King and Uriah Connors against Charlie Dempsey and Tavion Heights.

The appearance of Regal and Finlay prompted Regal's son Charlie Dempsey to turn on Heights, which led to the win for King and Connors. Regal and Finlay were then pictured alongside the rest of Birth Right backstage at the WWE Performance Center.

Following his return to TV, the expectation is William Regal will be making regular appearances on WWE NXT going forward, as will Fit Finlay, according to PWInsider. Regal has made sporadic appearances on WWE TV since January 2024, when the clause preventing him from appearing on WWE programming for one year expired. Regal agreed not to appear on WWE TV for one year as a condition of his AEW release in late 2022. Since his return, Regal has served as the WWE Vice President of Global Talent Development.

Before his appearance on WWE NXT on Tuesday night, Regal had not been seen at the WWE Performance Center in some time, and he had also been off the road with the WWE main roster for an extended period of time, PWInsider noted.
