Update On WWE Backstage Reaction To CM Punk's Return

CM Punk’s WWE return was always going to be a spicy affair, with Punk certainly rubbing some in WWE up the wrong way in his nine years away from the company.

Punk’s initial return at Survivor Series certainly elicited reactions from his co-workers, and his Raw return on November 27 was certainly going to be watched closely. A report from PWInsider states that backstage at Raw it was speculated just which CM Punk was going to turn up; the curmudgeon, or the slick professional.

Luckily, grumpy Punk was reportedly nowhere to be seen, with the former WWE Champion said to have spent lots of time backstage out and about with the rest of the locker room, and was said to have been friendly and ‘happy to be there’. One source told PWInsider that there was "no sign of the version of the person who we'd hear was so miserable in AEW."

Punk’s initial return caused some discontent with some WWE superstars, but it is reported that some who were irked by Punk’s return felt better about the situation after they had spoken with him.
