Update On WWE Plans To Use Blair Davenport More Following SmackDown's Move To 3 Hours
Latest on WWE plans for Blair Davenport
Jan 20, 2025
WWE are still reportedly planning to utilise Blair Davenport following Friday Night SmackDown's move to three hours on January 3.
Davenport has been seldom used on SmackDown since she moved to the main roster in May 2024. It took a month for Davenport to have her first match on the blue brand and she has only had four more televised matches since then. Davenport hasn't wrestled at all since November 22.
Dr. Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda reported in late 2024 that Davenport was set to be one of the beneficiaries of SmackDown moving to three hours in the new year and she would be in line for a push.
That push has yet to play out on WWE TV, but Featherstone has claimed on X/Twitter that WWE creative are deciding on the right story to properly showcase Davenport.
"Update on Davenport: 'The right story will arise where she will shine. Landscape on SmackDown is very valuable.' She has been in discussions as someone to benefit from the 3-hour format (which I already reported, but can confirm again). So, they are working on the right story to insert her in so she can be properly showcased," Featherstone posted.
WWE won't have too long to showcase Blair Davenport on a three-hour SmackDown. The series is planned to move back to a two-hour format in June.
