During the main event of IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary, a masked man entered the ring and got involved in the match between Michael Eglin and Brian Cage to save Don Callis.

Callis found himself in the ring, with Big Mike seemingly looking to harm him. Before Elgin could do so, however, a masked Rhyno-shaped man appeared out of nowhere to hit the former NJPW wrestler with a Spear… or Gore, before doing the former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champion's taunt on his way out of the ring.

Of course, The Man Beast himself was under the mask and the reason for him wearing it on the night was simple. In an interview with

Chris Van Vliet

earlier this year,

Rhyno revealed that his WWE contract expired on July 17 and WWE offered to double his current downside merely to sit at home.

Slammiversary took place on July 7, meaning that his identity could not be revealed during a

rival

promotion's show.

Given it was so obviously Rhyno in the ring during Slammiversary, many had wondered if WWE would take any action. Per

Pro Wrestling Sheet

, however, it looks like Vince McMahon et al are going to let this one slide: "According to sources, WWE isn’t likely to take any action (even though he was still under contract)."

Rhyno is now being promoted for upcoming IMPACT Wrestling events.
