Update On WWE SummerSlam 2025 Moving To 2 Nights

Latest on WWE expanding SummerSlam to 2 nights

Back in May, it was announced that the 2026 edition of SummerSlam will be a two-night event. SummerSlam 2026 will take place at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 1 and 2.

But will it be the first SummerSlam to be a two-night affair?

At the post-SummerSlam 2024 press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque was asked whether it would be the last one-night SummerSlam, to which he replied that he thought it was.

In the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE's response to the situation was "stay tuned", while another WWE source claimed it was "almost definite" that next year's event would be two days.

This year's SummerSlam took place in Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, with a reputed 57,791 in attendance. While WWE have claimed this as the legitimate number, WrestleTix had the show's attendance at 55,858.

Regardless, SummerSlam 2024 was the second-largest crowd in the show's history next to the 1992 event, which took place in Wembley Stadium.

WWE also claimed that SummerSlam 2024 recorded the largest gate for a non-WrestleMania pro-wrestling show in company history.
