WWE have rekindled a former partnership, with it being announced by Puerto Rico's World Wrestling Council that Carlito will make his return to the promotion later this month.

WWC have revealed Carlito will be in action at their Summer Madness show at the Pepin Cestero Arena in Bayamon on Saturday, May 31. Summer Madness will be Carlito's first WWC match since he returned to WWE on a full-time basis at Fastlane 2023.

"Confirmed: WWE has reached an agreement with WWC in Puerto Rico. Former United States Champion, former Intercontinental Champion and former World Tag Team Champion, Carlito, has been authorised by Adam Pearce to settle outstanding accounts in Puerto Rico," WWC wrote on Facebook (translated).

WWC is owned by Carlito's father Carlos Colon and they have worked with WWE in the past. Sources told Cultaholic earlier this year that everybody in WWC was extremely excited about the prospect of working with WWE and a potential partnership was considered a godsend for the Puerto Rican promotion.
