Updated NJPW G1 Climax 31 Standings After Day 7
G1 continues
Sep 30, 2021
New Japan Pro-Wrestling's G1 Climax 31 continued today from Korakuen Hall with the fourth round of A Block matches.
In a match that could have major ramifications for the finals, the A Block's two undefeated competitors in Great-O-Khan and Zack Sabre Jr. went one on one. Both men fought back and forth for 15 minutes but it was ZSJ who remained undefeated after he reversed an Eliminator attempt into an Octopus Hold. Sabre Jr. then locked his legs around O-Khan's throat, giving the United Empire man no choice but to instantly tap out.
IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi also continued to rise in the rankings as he defeated KENTA in the main event of today's show. Kota Ibushi also survived his test against Toru Yano, pinning The Sublime Master Thief after four minutes following a Kamigoye.
