Vince McMahon Remained Involved With WWE Creative After Being Replaced By Triple H
Vince McMahon reportedly had involvement in WWE's creative process despite not being in creative control
It was very clear that despite seemingly being out of the creative circle in WWE, Vince McMahon kept involving himself in the WWE creative process, with several news stories emerging in 2023 of him even returning to his spot in the Gorilla position for some shows. Eventually, the change was made permanent and official as Triple H was given the role of Chief Content Officer and McMahon’s roles veered away from the creative department following WWE’s sale and TKO merger.
However, Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that Vince McMahon still had his fingers in creative despite Triple H being in official control. It is noted in the Observer that despite Ari Emanuel removing Vince McMahon of his “direct power in creative”, he was still apparently making suggestions to the creative team in other ways.
Over the last few weeks, former WWE Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey made the claim that as long as Bruce Pritchard was in the picture, then McMahon would always have an involvement in the goings on in WWE, using Pritchard as a go between to still have influence. Meltzer says that this report “kind of” confirms the claims made by Rousey.
