Vince McMahon Rules Out WWE In-Ring Return

WWE's Executive Chairman will not be stepping back into the ring

Vince McMahon may be back in the boardroom and essentially running WWE once again, but the Executive Chairman has ruled out a return to the ring.

McMahon and Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel were asked about the prospect of Vince stepping back into the squared circle by CNBC's Scott Wapner, to which Emanuel responded that it would be 'purely his [McMahon's] choice'.

Vince then stated 'that's not going to happen', before noting that he is 77 years old.

His last match was an impromptu bout with Pat McAfee on night two of WrestleMania 38. McMahon won a short contest with help from Austin Theory. He then took what is widely regarded as the worst Stone Cold Stunner in history.

McMahon's match with McAfee took place several months before the allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money payments were made public.

Prior to his match with McAfee, Vince's last in-ring outing was against CM Punk in the main event of the October 8, 2012 episode of Raw.
