Vince McMahon sells more TKO stock
Mar 5, 2024
Vince McMahon has sold more shares in TKO Group Holdings, the Endeavor-owned parent company of WWE and UFC.
An SEC filing on Monday, March 4 noted that McMahon is selling 5.35 million shares of TKO stock. McMahon is expected to receive over $400 million from the sale, with TKO stock closing on Monday at $81.67 per share. The shares amounted to 25 per cent of McMahon's shares in TKO.
Following the sale, McMahon still owns 8.3 percent of TKO. Monday's transaction was the second major sale of TKO stock that McMahon has carried out in recent months. He sold 8.4 million shares for approximately $700 million in November 2023.
McMahon currently finds himself unemployed after resigning as TKO Executive Chairman in January 2024. McMahon was told to resign from the company after former WWE employee Janel Grant accused him of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse in a lawsuit that also named WWE and John Laurinaitis as defendants.
Further allegations about McMahon's conduct during his time running WWE have since emerged, including a claim that he preyed on female talents within the company.
