Wardlow Returns On AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite saw the return of Wardlow

All Elite Wrestling celebrated four years of Dynamite on October 4, with an anniversary surprise in the shape of a returning Wardlow.

The former TNT Champion didn’t waste any time, coming out as a surprise to absolutely paste poor Griff Garrison with a Powerbomb Symphony before the referee called a stoppage, with a clearly agitated ‘Mr. Mayhem’ exiting through the crowd.

This was Wardlow’s first appearance on AEW television since losing the TNT Championship to Luchasaurus on the debut episode of AEW Collision in June. The reason for Wardlow’s absence from television has not been publicly revealed, with Wardlow himself admitting he felt depressed during his time away from AEW TV.

Wardlow - and his fans alike - will be hoping he regains his early 2022 momentum, with the former Pinnacle member on a hot streak for the early part of the year, before AEW seemingly dropped the ball with him after winning the TNT Championship for the first time.

As for Griff Garrison, this was the first AEW TV appearance for the former Varsity Blond in 2023, although Griff has been wrestling on Ring of Honor TV since returning from injury in June.
