Weather Could Affect AEW Collision Tonight
Poor weather conditions could cause some impact on AEW Collision
Jan 11, 2025
AEW Collision is being held live later tonight on January 11, with the promotion heading to the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia for a card that will feature the likes of Big Bill vs. Cope, ROH World Champion Chris Jericho vs. Dax Harwood, and AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May vs. Harley Cameron. However, there might be some changes to the show or some other adverse effects due to poor weather conditions in the nearby area.
As noted by PWInsider, there is a snowstorm hitting Atlanta, Georgia, affecting flights from leaving and arriving from the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, with several flights being grounded, delayed, and cancelled. According to WSB TV in Atlanta, over 1000 flights have been canceled with over 500 more delayed.
AEW Collision is emanating just an hour away, and it is expected that many of AEW’s talent will be arriving at the Hartsfield-Jackson airport. It isn’t known specifically yet if there will be issues directly impacting the show, as talent may already be in town. It isn’t just AEW that might be affected by this, as WWE talents flying home after SmackDown from Portland, Oregon might have their flights impacted too.
