AJ Styles Provides Update On Recent Injury

AJ Styles has been out of action ever since the October 4, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, suffering an injury during a singles match with Carmelo Hayes. After some back and forths in reports over the legitimacy of Styles’ injury, it was soon officially revealed that he’d suffered a Lisfranc injury and would be out for an extended period of time. Prior to his injury, Styles was supposedly set for a retirement tour storyline. 

Things have been fairly quiet on Styles’ front ever since embarking on his latest WWE absence, but he has broken his silence with some potentially disappointing news. Replying to a fan on X who asked about his recovery timetable, Styles stated that he was struggling. 

“I’ll be honest, this injury is really challenging”. 

Although this doesn’t reveal how long Styles will still be out for, it could well suggest that it might still be quite some time before he is seen in a WWE ring again. Shortly following his injury, Styles revealed that he’d turned down a TNA Hall Of Fame induction due to wanting to be retired before being entered into any Hall Of Fame.
