Following initial reports that WWE passed on AJ Styles being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion has revealed it was his decision to turn down the induction. Styles rejected the induction as he is still an active wrestler.

"I'm still an active wrestler...I hope. I made the decision not to go into the TNA HOF, not WWE. I appreciate TNA, but I don't want to go into any HOF as long as I'm still active. My choice," Styles wrote on X (FKA Twitter).

Styles is currently out of action following an injury he suffered on the October 4 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The 47-year-old's long-term future with WWE is also up in the air as it emerged earlier this year that Styles' deal is due to expire in late 2024 or early 2025.

AJ Styles was 'Mr. TNA', wrestling for Total Nonstop Action between 2002 and 2014. He is a five-time world champion in the promotion, as well as a six-time X-Division Champion. He was the first TNA Grand Slam Champion.

Bob Ryder and Rhino were inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame as part of the 2024 class at Bound For Glory. TNA were also interested in inducting Monty Brown but the promotion struggled to get in contact with 'The Alpha Male.'
