When Roman Reigns Will Make His WWE Return Revealed

Major update on when Roman Reigns will return to WWE programming

Roman Reigns seemingly won't be gone from WWE programming for much longer.

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Roman Reigns is expected to be back on WWE TV by SummerSlam. The plan at one point was for Reigns to return around two to three weeks before SummerSlam, so the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion could potentially show up on the July 19 episode of SmackDown in Omaha, Nebraska.

Reigns has been gone from WWE TV since dropping the Undisputed WWE Universal Title to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, with the belt having since been renamed the Undisputed WWE Championship. The Bloodline has drastically changed in Reigns' absence, with Solo Sikoa having appointed himself the new Tribal Chief with new Bloodline members Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu at his side.

Sikoa has also banished Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso from The Bloodline, while also stating on SmackDown that Roman Reigns won't be back. Sikoa is set to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Title in the main event of SummerSlam, having pinned Cody Rhodes in a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank.
