Why Baron Corbin Has Been Absent From WWE Revealed

Baron Corbin hasn’t competed on WWE SmackDown since the back end of August, last wrestling in a tag team defeat with Apollo Crews against Berto & Angel of Los Garza. He has sporadically competed on live events in the time since, but he hasn’t wrestled in any capacity for several weeks. However, Corbin is not hurt, with his absence being more down to a lack of creative plans for him. 

Per Fightful Select, Corbin is reportedly fine and has actually been present at recent tapings of Friday Night SmackDown backstage, but just isn’t being used. Ever since his return to the WWE main roster earlier this year after a spell back in NXT, Corbin has been in a tag team with Apollo Crews, though it is noted that Corbin was not a fan of this direction and tandem early on, but was eventually won over and liked it. However, WWE creative are not too interested in booking the act. 

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Corbin has re-signed with WWE after his contract was set to expire at the back end of last year.
