Will Ospreay Provides Injury Update

Injury update on Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay is currently out of action with injury, with the ‘Commonwealth Kingpin’ forced to withdraw from the recent New Japan Cup in March.

Ospreay last wrestled on March 13 before injuring his shoulder, with NJPW keeping the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion on the sidelines for fear of aggravating his condition. Fans are hoping that Ospreay will be fit in time for AEW’s monumental All In show in London in August, and Ospreay gave an injury update on Twitter:

“Just an update for you all. I have more range of motion in my shoulder but still struggling with strength. I think I’ll be ok but I’m just going through my physio with this as I don’t wanna come back too early and this thing rip off. Much love, miss you all.”

NJPW recently announced that Ospreay will face Hiroshi Tanahashi on May 21 at NJPW Resurgence as part of a mini-tournament for a shot at IWGP United States Champion Kenny Omega, with the winner of Ospreay vs. Tanahashi taking on the winner of Juice Robinson vs. Lance Archer at Dominion on June 4.
