Will Ospreay Reveals His Proudest Accomplishments Of 2023

Will Ospreay on his proudest accomplishments this year

Will Ospreay has had one busy year in 2023, having two match of the year candidates against Kenny Omega in both NJPW and AEW, reigning as the IWGP United States Champion, and competing in front of upwards of 70,000 fans at the All In event inside Wembley Stadium.

In a post on X, Ospreay said, I found myself just sitting in my room last night wanting to process everything that happened in this year alone. Truly overwhelming with everything that’s happened man.”

He would then offer out a lengthy statement looking back at 2023, remarking that he has competed in 9 different promotions, wrestling in 8 countries, but when it comes to his proudest moment this year, it wasn’t in the professional wrestling world, and instead it was his family.

“I was there for my Mrs when she was recovering from knee surgery, I took my step son on an aeroplane for the first time. We have had 2 family holidays together. We finished our kitchen. I’ve attended two weddings. I was there for my son’s first day in school. I’ve never missed his or her birthdays.”

Ospreay went on to say how with his line of work, he worries about missing out on these moments, but is happy to have achieved so much in his personal life. In 2024, Ospreay will finish up with NJPW and join AEW, starting a new chapter next year.
