No Change In CM Punk's WWE Survivor Series Status

No CM Punk at WWE Survivor Series, according to the latest reports

UPDATE:

Well, CM Punk returned to WWE to close out Survivor Series

ORIGINAL STORY:

Fans shouldn't expect CM Punk to show up tonight at WWE Survivor Series in Chicago, Illinois.

WrestleVotes has tweeted ahead of the show that "nothing has changed" with CM Punk's WWE status, signalling he will not be at Survivor Series.

"Ok guys, I've asked…. Everyone I can, every way I know how. Nothing has changed. We will know one of two things when Survivor Series goes off the air: It was either the greatest kept surprise in company history OR it just wasn't meant to be, yet," WrestleVotes wrote.

CM Punk has been available for WWE to sign since he was fired with cause by All Elite Wrestling in September 2023, one week after multiple incidents with Tony Khan and a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In.

Punk reportedly reached out to WWE about a return but higher-ups turned him down with the idea being they don't need another top star right now. As recently as Friday, Fightful Select reported that "WWE's claim is that CM Punk won't be there. Punk's claim to friends is that he won't be." Key names in WWE creative have also been told CM Punk will not be at Survivor Series, as have top WWE talents.

This doesn't close the door forever on a CM Punk return, though, and recent reports have noted WWE are open to re-signing the former World Heavyweight Champion if the fans demand it
