WWE Willing To Sign CM Punk If The Fans Demand It

CM Punk could find his way back to WWE if the fans want it to happen

CM Punk may well end up back in WWE after all.

The 45-year-old has been a free agent since his firing with cause by All Elite Wrestling in September. Punk reportedly reached out to WWE over a return but he was rejected by Triple H, Vince McMahon, and Nick Khan with the belief being that WWE don't need another top star at the moment. Some continue to hope and believe Punk will make his return at Survivor Series on November 25 but there are reportedly no plans for him to come back at the pay-per-view.

WWE's door for a CM Punk return might not be closed forever, though. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while there is negativity about Punk within the organisation, WWE are not completely opposed to bringing him back if the fans want him to return and express as much.

Meltzer also noted: "While every creative head has their plan, this creative side is not looking at being combative with the audience like Vince McMahon often was."

The last thing WWE wants at Survivor Series, though, is CM Punk chants especially since there are reportedly no plans for him to return there. This is one of the reasons WWE announced Randy Orton's return in WarGames ahead of time as opposed to teasing a mystery teammate.
