Will Ospreay To Begin Full-Time AEW Run On Next Week's Dynamite

February 28 Dynamite will see Will Ospreay begin his official AEW run

Will Ospreay is finally set to start his official full-time Al Elite Wrestling run on February 28, with the ‘Aerial Assassin’ set for next week’s edition of Dynamite.

The announcement was made on the February 21 edition of Dynamite, with Ospreay appearing on the go-home edition of the show before taking on Don Callis Family associate Konosuke Takeshita in singles action at AEW Revolution on March 3.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion put pen-to-paper on an AEW contract in late 2023, last wrestling for the promotion at the first ever WrestleDream event on October 1, 2023. Despite having yet to make his official in-ring debut as a contracted AEW star, Ospreay has wrestled 11 times for the company over the past two years due to the working relationship between AEW and NJPW. Of those 11 matches, four were on PPV, with two coming at cross promoted AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door shows, as well as the aforementioned WrestleDream, and a marquee match with Chris Jericho at All In 2023.

Ospreay recently finished up his New Japan Pro-Wrestling run with a blood-spattered cage match with his United Empire against the Bullet Club War Dogs at The New Beginning in Osaka, and bid farewell to RevPro with an early MOTY contender against Michael Oku on February 18.
