It was revealed earlier in the week that the vicious attack from The Death Riders onto Will Ospreay at AEW All In Texas 2025 was in place to write The Aerial Assassin off AEW programming, as it was reported that Ospreay had been working banged up. It was noted that Ospreay would be out for at least a month, though things could be more serious.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has offered an update on Ospreay’s status, revealing also that he’d been working hurt for a while with the idea being that he’d make it to All In before taking some time off to rest. However, it is said that Ospreay’s injuries are “worse than he thought”. There was still no concrete update on how long he’d be out of action in AEW, but he was set to be checked by doctors next week to figure out the timeframe for his absence.
Ospreay wasn’t the only one written off TV at All In, as Samoa Joe was also taken out by The Death Riders. Additionally, it has been revealed that Kenny Omega is also taking an absence from AEW for some time after his loss to Kazuchika Okada at All In.
