William Regal Hints At 'Change' Following WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House

Could the NXT GM be stepping away?

William Regal has hinted his tenure as NXT general manager could be coming to an end after saying 'it's time for change' at the end of Sunday's TakeOver: In Your House.

Regal has been GM of WWE's black-and-gold brand for seven years but disorder has crept into the show in recent weeks, with NXT Champion Karrion Kross outright telling Regal he couldn't control the roster during a recent episode of NXT.

Dissent has slowly been creeping into the brand in recent months, with the likes of Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly regularly attacking each other while Io Shirai and Raquel Gonzalez also assaulted each other frequently in the run up to TakeOver: Stand & Deliver in April.

That level of craziness has only continued, with Cole continuing to sneak attack other superstars in the run up to TakeOver: In Your House.

When asked for his thoughts on Sunday's show by McKenzie Mitchell, a teary-eyed Regal responded: "It's been seven years since I became the GM of NXT and I've never seen so much bedlam. It's complete madness. I think it's time for a change."

It should be noted that neither Regal or WWE have offered any indication what the change could be, but the promotion have teased further information from the NXT general manager on this week's show.
