Willow Nightingale Wins Women's Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament

Willow Nightingale defeated Ruby Soho in the Owen Hart Foundation Cup finals

Willow Nightingale wins the second annual Owen Hart Foundation Cup Women's tournament, after defeating Ruby Soho in the finals on Saturday night's AEW Collision in Calgary.

During the match's closing stage, Soho tried to cheat several times with her can of spray paint. In the final instance, Soho tried to strike Nightingale with the can while Aubrey Edwards had her back turned (fixing a turnbuckle pad that Soho had intentionally dislodged). Soho ended up missing with the can, and Nightingale finished her off with a Pounce, followed by a sitout Babe With the Power-bomb.

Before defeating Soho in the finals, Nightingale defeated Nyla Rose in the quarterfinals, followed by beating Athena in the semis on last night's Rampage. Soho's path to the finals saw her defeat Dr. Britt Baker in the opening round, before defeating Skye Blue in the semis on this past Wednesday's Dynamite.

The 2022 Owen Hart Foundation Cup Women's tournament was won by Baker, who defeated Soho in the finals at Double or Nothing on May 29, 2022 in Las Vegas.
