Winner Of AEW Continental Classic Gold League To Be Determined In Three-Way Final

The three winners of the Gold League will battle next week on AEW Dynamite

The AEW Continental Classic has been ongoing for several weeks, and it has offered up plenty of high quality matches and a lot of drama. At the upcoming AEW Worlds End pay-per-view, the winners of both Blue & Gold Leagues will face off to become the new Triple Crown Champion (unifying the ROH World Title, the NJPW STRONG Championship, and the prize of winning the Continental Classic).

The Gold League round-robin has now been completed as of last night’s AEW Dynamite, but the finalist who progresses out of the group hasn’t been decided yet. Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, and Jay White have all finished on 12 points, meaning that next week on Dynamite, AEW will host a three-way tiebreaker match to determine who will go on to Worlds End for the final.

All three men have lost just one match in the tournament, with Moxley losing to White, Strickland losing to Moxley, and White losing to Strickland. It is only then fitting that it is these three who fight for the right to continue on in the tournament, as they have only been bested by each other so far.

The Blue League’s first round will be completed on Collision, though it isn’t known yet if there will also end up being a tiebreaker.
