Several Former WWE Stars Become Free Agents

Mustafa Ali and more are now officially free agents

A number of former WWE stars are officially free agents after their 90-day WWE non-compete clauses expired on December 21. WWE released over 20 talents as part of post-UFC merger cuts in September, including several veterans who had been a part of the company for years like Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Dana Brooke, and Mustafa Ali.

Where exactly every talent will end up is unknown. Nic Nemeth (AKA Dolph Ziggler) has already taken a booking from the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico and he is expected to join All Elite Wrestling at some point. Matt Riddle, meanwhile, will be wrestling for MLW in the new year and Yulisa Leon has actually already won a championship in Mexico since her release. Mace and Mansoor, along with their recent appearance on Botchamania, have also appeared for DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling and Mansoor has been booked for GCW in late January.
