At the Iron Claw movie premiere, several stars of professional wrestling came out to enjoy the glitz and glamour of the event. Executive Producer of the movie, AEW World Champion MJF, was of course in attendance, and he took pictures with several notable WWE names including Baron Corbin, Liv Morgan, and the 16-time world champion John Cena.

Seeing the latter on the red carpet with MJF got a lot of people talking, as it was a big crossover from the former face of WWE and the current top star of AEW, and it felt like worlds were colliding. In several videos and pictures they could be seen talking to one another, and MJF was asked about their interaction in an interview with SE Scoops’ Jason Solomon, who managed to speak to MJF following his induction into the National Jewish Sports Hall Of Fame. MJF had this to say on meeting Cena.

"I don't think it's unprofessional for me to discuss what we talked about. He didn't have to do this, and it meant the world to me. [John Cena] walked over to me, and he said he's a fan of my work, and he respected my professionalism.

"Once we were on the red carpet, we talked some more and I told him straight up, I said, 'You're an inspiration' because he is, you know? There are a lot of people in my industry who phone it in. I cannot recall one time in the over a decade of John Cena's career where he phoned it in even once. He's incapable, just like I'm incapable. He is a tremendous role model. Not just for me as a professional wrestler, but for everybody around the world, because he teaches you how important hard work is. We also discussed transitioning from pro wrestling to acting. He's just an incredible person and I don't have one negative thing to say about him."

MJF clearly has a lot of love and respect for Cena, which is reflected in his words. Of course, MJF didn’t reveal verbatim what was said, but the general gist seemed to be a show of respect and some advice on becoming an actor.
