Women's Title Match, Gauntlet Set For 12/24 WWE SmackDown (SPOILERS INSIDE)

Lots of action on Christmas Eve

The SmackDown Women's title will be on the line on next week's Christmas Eve edition of WWE SmackDown, and a special gauntlet match will also be held.

SmackDown Women's champion Charlotte Flair will put her championship on the line against Toni Storm. On Friday's show, Storm teamed with Sasha Banks to defeat Flair and Shotzi. The match ended with Storm pinning Flair cleanly.

In addition, a "12 Days of Christmas" gauntlet match will take place, with the winner becoming number one contender to the Intercontinental title currently held by Shinsuke Nakamura.

Participants for the match include Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Sheamus, Ricochet, Angel, Humberto, Jinder Mahal, Shanky, Erik, Ivar, Mansoor, and Drew Gulak.

The Christmas Eve broadcast of SmackDown was taped Friday night in Chicago, as part of a double taping along with the live episode of SmackDown.

There will be no SmackDown broadcast on New Year's Eve, due to FOX affiliates airing local New Year's Eve coverage. WWE will instead air a "Best Of" special on FS1.
