Women's United States Title Tournament Finalists Revealed

WWE is rebooting Saturday Night’s Main Event later tonight, heading to the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York for a throwback night that will feature a stripped back set-up, classic music, and the returns of old names such as Jesse Ventura, Tito Santana, and more. 

The show will be history-making for more than one reason, as it will host the finals of the Women’s United States Championship tournament, crowning the first ever main roster women’s midcard champion in WWE history. On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, the two finalists were determined. 

In the first semi final, Michin defeated the current Miss. Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton to advance to the final round. Stratton half-hit a moonsault at the end of the match before Michin then nailed her finisher for the victory. In the main event match on SmackDown, Chelsea Green defeated Bayley, thanks to some help from an interfering Piper Niven at ringside, to make it to the finals. 

The finals will officially see Chelsea Green taking on Michin to be crowned as the first Women’s United States Champion. A spoiler on who is expected to win this match was revealed over the last couple of days, which you can check out here.
