World Title Unification Match Set For AEW Dynamite

A big match next week on AEW Dynamite

While the match was initially announced as taking place at the All Out pay-per-view on September 4 during Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling later revealed that Jon Moxley and CM Punk's AEW World Title unification match will actually take place next Wednesday.

There is no word currently on why AEW decided to have the match on Dynamite instead of booking it for All Out, especially since the match will be one of the biggest in the promotion's history. Punk did call out Hangman Page for an AEW World Title rematch on Dynamite, though, so a second match between the former rivals could be added to All Out.

Punk and Moxley had two confrontations on Dynamite, first delivering pipe bomb promos on each other before they ended up brawling and had to be separated.

Next week will be Punk's first match since June 1, when he suffered a broken foot only days after winning the AEW World Championship. Jon Moxley was crowned Interim AEW World Champion at Forbidden Door on June 26, defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Also set for next week's Dynamite is Dax Harwood vs. Jay Lethal. They join the previously announced AEW Trios Title tournament match between Death Triangle and Will Ospreay & Aussie Open.
