WWE, AEW, & TNA References Made During CM Punk's CFFC Commentary
All the gags were being made at CFFC about CM Punk's professional wrestling career
They’re a funny bunch over at Cage Fury Fighting Championship, as once again CM Punk’s visit to the commentary table has spawned up a sea of comments, hints, references, and jokes in regards to his professional wrestling career - and last night was full of them.
As usual, it was Punk’s co-commentators who had their fair share of fun at Punk’s expense, with one having a pocket square emblazoned with the WWE logo - not very subtle in truth. Additionally, Punk’s other colleague John Morgan repeated the phrase “Total Nonstop Action” more than once (to make sure you got the joke), in reference to the fact that TNA have reportedly shown some interest in signing Punk.
Lastly, the most glaring and obvious reference came when Morgan forced in the line of “You see what happens when you let CM Punk book a show”. Punk would respond, “You get an entertaining show”. This was followed up by discussing whether or not anyone would give Punk his own show, because of course AEW Collision was largely centered around Punk. It was all very tongue in cheek (firmly in the cheek with a wink-wink, nod-nod and an eyebrow raise all included).
