WWE, AEW Reportedly Interested In Signing LAX

Could the duo be on the move?

Four-time Impact Wrestling World Tag Team champions Ortiz and Santana have been among the promotion's top talents for the past couple of years. This year alone, the duo have stood out in excellent tag bouts at Impact's Homecoming and Rebellion events against Pentagon Jr and Rey Fenix, The Lucha Bros, over the titles.

Their increased profile could see LAX on the move. Dave Meltzer reports in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ortiz and Santana's contracts with Impact expire later this summer, and that there is interest from WWE and AEW alike.

Impact has invested heavily in Santana and Ortiz when it comes to pushing them as the aces of their tag division. From the time the two won the company's Tag Team belts for the first time on March 4, 2017, they've gone on to hold the belts for 655 out of a possible 846 days, which is 77 percent of the last two years and four months.

Their longest single reign with the belts lasted 261 days, defeating Andrew Everett and DJ Z on April 26, 2018, before losing them to The Lucha Bros this past January 12.
