During the Men's Royal Rumble match, AJ Styles separated his shoulder after overselling a spear from Edge. As The Rated-R Superstar hit his finisher, Styles rotated in the air and landed awkwardly, causing the separation.

The Phenomenal One later revealed

he doesn't expect to be on the sidelines for very long and now WWE has confirmed he will be back in no time at all as the company announced his return match during last night's episode of Monday Night Raw.

Styles will next appear on WWE TV at Super ShowDown, which will be broadcast live on February 27 from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He will compete in a Six-Man Gauntlet match against Andrade, Rusev, R-Truth, Bobby Lashley and Erick Rowan for the right to hold the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy.

This will be the fourth trophy WWE has given away during it's pay-per-views in the Middle Eastern Kingdom. Braun Strowman first won the Greatest Royal Rumble Trophy back in April 2018, which was followed up by Shane McMahon being crowned the best wrestler in the world when he won the WWE World Cup. The O.C's Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson then won the WWE Tag Team World Cup at last year's Crown Jewel. The trophies were seldom seen again after their respective matches.

Super ShowDown will take place at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 27, the announced card so far is as follows:

  • "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Goldberg - WWE Universal Championship
  • Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Ricochet - WWE Championship
  • Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin - Steel Cage match
  • The New Day (c) vs. The Miz & John Morrison - SmackDown Tag Team Championships
  • AJ Styles vs. Andrade vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Rusev vs. R-Truth vs. Erick Rowan - Six-Man Gauntlet match for the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy
