WWE plans have been changing due to Rhea Ripley's current injury.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported there has been "significant shuffling" of plans for a number of wrestlers in the Friday Night SmackDown women's division, including Ripley, in the event that Ripley is sidelined for a substantial amount of time.
It was announced on the June 12 episode of SmackDown that Ripley had sustained a knee injury during WWE's European tour. Ripley hasn't wrestled since a WWE house show in Lisbon, Portugal on June 3 where she teamed with Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton against Fatal Influence.
Ripley looks set to at least miss the upcoming WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view on Saturday, June 27. The WWE Women's Champion was featured on the poster for the Saudi Arabia show alongside Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, and Trick Williams but Ripley was swapped out for Tiffany Stratton this week.
Ripley was planned to be featured at SummerSlam, with pitches made for a WWE Women's Title defence against Fatal Influence's Jacy Jayne, but those plans are up in the air due to Ripley's injury.
