WWE Considering Using WALTER More Outside Of NXT UK

What’s next for Der Ring General?

Since losing the WWE NXT UK Championship to Ilja Dragunov at TakeOver 36 on August 22, WALTER has been conspicuous by his absence. Now, reports have emerged that Der Ring General could be used more by WWE outside of NXT UK.

The report comes via PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, with a source telling Johnson that WALTER was currently in the United States, leading to speculation that he could have been a part of the WWE Draft.

WALTER has been vocal in the past about wanting to remain in Europe, with the imposing Austrian working only a handful of dates in the USA since joining WWE in early 2019.

Reports in August stated that WWE were keen for WALTER to appear ‘consistently’ on NXT going forward, but with NXT’s switch to NXT 2.0, it is admittedly hard to imagine how WALTER would fit in. Regardless, a talent of WALTER’s calibre will have no trouble putting on clinics wherever he is featured, and we’ll have to see what is next for Imperium’s fearsome leader.
