WWE Considers Trick Williams A Possible Future WrestleMania Main Eventer

WWE very high on Trick Williams

Trick Williams seemingly has a bright future ahead of him in WWE.

The former North American Champion has become one of the most popular talents on WWE NXT since establishing himself as a singles star in 2023 and he will main event the upcoming NXT Vengeance Day premium live event on Sunday, February 4.

Williams appeared on the go-home edition of SmackDown before the Royal Rumble, making the save for Carmelo Hayes from an Austin Theory and Grayson Waller beatdown as the crowd loudly chanted, "Whoop that Trick!"

According to Haus of Wrestling, WWE creative were "blown away" by the reception Williams received and the belief amongst influential people within the company is that Williams has "future WrestleMania main eventer potential." If Williams will reach that potential ultimately remains to be seen but a top WWE star praised Williams' "great attitude and skill set that he's cultivating" and noted they foresee "nothing but positives for him."

This is similar to reports in late 2023 which noted that WWE believe Williams could end up "being a major, major player for years to come" if he spends more time in NXT to polish up his in-ring psychology and learns more about the small details.

Williams has been a part of WWE since February 2021. He made his televised debut in September of 2021 following the NXT 2.0 rebrand.
