WWE Extremely High On Trick Williams

In news that will surprise few, WWE are extremely high on Trick Williams and the company have "super high hopes" for the former NXT North American Champion, according to FightFans.

WWE are so high on Williams, in fact, it is believed they have higher hopes for him than Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker, who are both former NXT champions. The internal view is that Williams could end up "being a major, major player for years to come" if he spends more time in NXT to polish up his in-ring psychology and learns more about the small details. 

Williams signed with WWE back in February 2021, making his first appearance in September of that year following the NXT 2.0 rebrand. Williams remained aligned with Hayes until earlier this year when they went their separate ways. The split has allowed Williams to reach another level and he has established himself as one of the most popular talents in NXT.

Williams recently won the men's Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. When he will challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship has not been officially confirmed but WWE taped the final two episodes of NXT in 2023 earlier this week and it was confirmed when Williams would get his title shot.
