WWE Have "Big Plans" To Make Roman Reigns A Crossover Star

WWE want Roman Reigns to become a true household name

He’s the ‘Tribal Chief’, the undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and has headlined several WrestleManias, and if WWE have their way then Roman Reigns will become a huge crossover star too.

Reigns has turned his detractors into believers, and during an appearance on The Town with Matthew Belloni, WWE President Nick Khan spoke of how WWE want Reigns to follow in the footsteps of John Cena and The Rock:

“We think he’s certainly up there, and we have big plans with him to help him crossover, which we think will be great for him and certainly great to do with him. Yeah, we think he has that,” began Khan.

Reigns appeared in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw alongside cousin Dwayne Johnson in 2019, and Khan made a remark on the pair’s common bond:

“Yeah, it’s like a Samoan dynasty. There’s a lot of connection there and we’ll see what plays out there over time.”

The line between WWE and Hollywood is thin, with past stars such as Hulk Hogan, Jesse Ventura, and Roddy Piper having had notable big screen careers alongside their wrestling careers, but Rock and Cena have taken it to the next level.
