Back on May 22, WWE announced AJ Styles had been traded to Friday Night SmackDown from Monday Night Raw. The trade was somewhat surprising at the time as The Phenomenal One was one of the top stars on the red brand.
Dave Meltzer reported soon after that Styles moved to SmackDown after frequently clashing with then Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman. The Intercontinental Champion was reportedly furious with Heyman over Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson's WWE releases and he blamed Brock Lesnar's advocate for them being let go.
Styles recently discussed the report on his Mixer channel and denied this is why he was upset with Heyman, but he did go on to call the former Raw Executive Director "a bald-faced liar." AJ didn't want to elaborate further but did say we can expect to hear the full story on a future Talk'N Shop Podcast.
The Face That Runs The Place said: "When it came to the rumour about Paul Heyman and me being upset with him because he didn't take up for Gallows and Anderson before they got released, that's not what it was at all. Not even close. I'll give you a snippet of what me, Gallows and Anderson already know, he's a liar. Now you know. I'm sure you've heard that before. If you go back and see the ECW days you'll hear that. He's a bald-faced liar. So, that's my take on that."
