WWE Interested In Another Former AEW Talent

WWE are reportedly interested in a former All Elite Wrestling talent, with the company having acquired several former AEW stars over the past year.

Whilst the likes of Andrade, Aleister Black, and Rusev have gone straight (back) to the main roster, WWE have bolstered NXT’s ranks with the signings of Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and Blake Monroe, amongst others. However, per a report from Fightful Select, WWE have different plans in mind for another former AEW star.

After departing AEW/Ring of Honor in February 2025, Leyla Hirsch has been competing on the independent scene, but Fightful’s report suggests that WWE are interested in possibly using ‘Legit’ as a referee, with the company believed to have reached out to Hirsch over a potential tryout. News of the invitation was picked up by some within WWE in June 2025.

Whether Hirsch responded to the invitation, and indeed if said tryout has occurred, are both unknown at the time of writing.

Hirsch exited AEW/ROH at the expiration of her deal, having been with the company since late 2020. During her time in AEW, Hirsch was on the receiving end of stop/start pushes, with a serious ACL tear in April 2022 forcing ‘Legit’ to miss over a year of ring time.
